This is due to the fact that the electrical properties of the materials used in N-Type PV cells are less affected by temperature fluctuations and there is a lower rate of charge (electron-hole) reunification than in P-Type PV cells, which is directly related to the reduction of the generated current.

The temperature coefficient is at the -0.29% level with the guarantee of Jinko Solar.

As a result, the use of N-Type/TOPCon technology leads to higher and more stable returns in the long term, compared to P-Type technology.

Also, N-Type PV cells are not affected by light-induced aging based on the light-induced degradation (LID) phenomenon, which is related to boron-oxygen impurities in silicon, which can lead to a decrease in efficiency over time. The enrichment of N-Type cells is done with Phosphorus instead of Boron, resulting in negligible LID.

Thus, overall, the temperature coefficient and reduced aging rate are significant advantages of N-Type/TOPCon technology, which along with other advantages make it the most attractive choice for PV systems.
